1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Cabriolet

This 1979 Super Beetle Cabriolet is among the last of the beetles sold in the U.S.. This example is an original 5200 mile “Epilogue Edition”. The “Epilogue Edition is one of the rarest beetles to be produced, it includes the triple black paint, matching black convertible top and the stamped steel wheels. The interior includes the Rosewood-Grain dash trim, a quartz clock, AM stereo, and Wolfsburg-Crested steering wheel. The cars black vinyl seats show no appreciable wear, and the dash is crack free.

The vehicle includes the original convertible top, and top boot, they are in fantastic condition. This vehicle is a true Time-Capsule and it shows very well.
 

The original books, manuals, dealer guide and window sticker are included in the sale, along with the tool kit, jack, keys and service records received from the estate. The window sticker shows a comparatively long list of standard equipment and an original MSRP of $7,484 including the destination charge.  The original owner kept a hand-written mileage log from when they purchased the car in 1979 until the car went in to storage in 1985. The log will be included with the sale and helps to confirm the mileage figure.
