Vehicle Description
This vehicle was built in Los Angeles, CA, on July 19, 1962. It has had only two owners, both from the same family, and all records have been meticulously maintained since its purchase.
This 1962 Galaxie is painted in Corinthian White and features a Red Crush vinyl interior. It has been well cared for since new, with every component either repaired or replaced during a partial frame-on restoration. The car was purchased from the original family in Colorado, and we possess extensive documentation from the original owner, who maintained a detailed logbook from day one. This logbook includes records of every oil change, fuel mileage, tire rotation, and all maintenance performed on this Galaxie 500.
Under the hood, you'll find a 390FE Big Block engine with the original 3X2 Holley setup. It has seen only about 150 test miles since being installed. The car comes equipped with original power steering, all of which has been rebuilt. The braking system features a Leed master cylinder, brake booster, and brake light block, with disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. The engine compartment is in excellent condition.
The interior has been completely refurbished, including a Robbins-built power convertible top. All upholstery looks brand new, and other interior components have been replaced with period-correct carpet, side panels, and more.
Currently, the Galaxie runs on new, period-correct Coker whitewall tires. The transmission is the factory-installed Cruise-O-Matic, which has recently been rebuilt using all new parts.
